Hi Vern, Thanks for your query but I didn’t check SSL issue.
Thanks, Golam,More and more of my new clients are requesting SSL as a SEO issue and I'm finding it hard to configure WP sites to show "the green padlock" and they're picking up on it. I'm not a coder and so I don't know if there's a way to keep this slider from triggering the yellow padlock. If you have any ideas, I'd sure appreciate it.
Hi Vern, I don’t know about the SSL as a SEO issue… the green padlock issues … Can you please mail me details with resource link at samdani1997 (at) gmail.com .. so that I can study & if possible to implement at my plugin… Also you can add me at skype – samdani1997
This is really just an amendment to my question. I couldn’t copy and paste into the reply “Post Comment” field.
I’ve used Planet Ocean’s Search Engine News for over 10 years now and they’ve been right on with SEO advice.
Here’s a recent article describing the situation:
As a website developer I try to get an edge for my own clients and so I’ve advised most of them that while SSL may not be absolutely necessary right now, it will be important–even for non ecommerce sites soon.
What we want to see when someone comes to our websites is: (green padlock) and not (yellow padlock with warning icon) which has this message if you click on the icon:
(I had a screenshot but it didn’t copy here. It says in effect “Your page includes resources that are not secure”
Researching this I find that the reason for the caution is that there are outside resources that are http instead of https. So, I’m trying to find plugins that can deliver their functions using SSL.
I really like your testimonial slider, but it is one of the triggers I need to deal with.
I’m not a tech so my understanding of all this is OK, but not in depth so I have to depend on my vendors.
Thank you very much,
I’d be interested in any answer that a reader of this post may have.
